Sarah M. Chang, MD is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with expertise in cataract surgery, glaucoma laser treatments and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. Dr. Chang is a native of Washington, DC. She completed her bachelors degree in bio-mechanical engineering at Stanford University. She returned to the east coast for her medical training at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she graduated cum laude. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society during her junior year of medical school and was also the recipient of the Richard Susel Award for Clinical Excellence in Ophthalmology. After completing her internship in internal medicine at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, she returned to University of Maryland to complete her ophthalmology residency. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking and spending time with her family and dog.
