Dr. Diana Chu is a board-certified comprehensive optometrist with a clinical focus on ocular disease management, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, and macular degeneration. She performs eye exams for patients of all ages and fits both soft and hard contact lenses, including specialty scleral lenses for keratoconus and corneal disease. She is well trained in co-managing patients before and after cataract surgery, corneal transplants, and LASIK.
Dr. Chu graduated with honors from the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition Physiology and Chemistry. She then received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. She completed her clinical training at the renowned Illinois Eye Institute of Chicago, The EyeCare Associates of Connecticut, and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Hospital. She has participated in several medical eye care missions, performing comprehensive exams on indigent patients in both the US and abroad.
She is certified by the National and Maryland Board of Examiners in Optometry and is a member of the Maryland Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association Political Action Committee, and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
