A Cataract occurs when the clear lens in the eye becomes cloudy over time. Patients may notice symptoms of blurry or decreased vision, glare and halos. Usually vision loss from cataracts occur slowly over time.

Cataract surgery is now performed on an outpatient basis and usually takes a few minutes. Recovery is very fast and patients can return to their activities the day after surgery.
